Special examinations and services:  


  • Diseases of eyelids and tear ducts, conjunctiva, disorders of the sclera, corneal diseases as well as dry eye syndromes are performed here. We also provide lacrimal sac wash out, probing of nasolacrimal duct and temporary lacrimal passage obstruction, we correct refractive errors (short-sightedness, far-sightedness, presbyopia), eyeglass prescription, training regarding the handling and applying branded contact lenses as well as their sale.
  • Consultations and arranging all types of refractive surgeries (elimination of eyeglasses).
  • Lens disorders (cataract, secondary cataract) – we provide examination, preoperative assessment and patient preparation, surgery order, postoperative care for patients.
  • Glaucoma – is diagnosed and treated.
  • Eye injuries (foreign bodies), we treat eye emergencies.
  • Vitreous body diseases (vitreous hemorrhage, floaters) – we provide diagnostics, treatment, if required, arrangement of surgeries for different types of retinal and vitreous disorders.
  • Retinal disorders (detachment of the retina, retinal degeneration, retinal vascular disorders). Eye tests for internal, endocrinology and neurology clinics.
  • Preventive check ups for employers (high risk jobs, driving licence certification, etc.).
  • Colour perception exam, stereo vision, visual field test by means of computer-automated perimetry.
  • Eyelid surgery, eyelid plastic surgeries, surgeries of pathological formations around eyes and in the face area.
  • Removal of lumps and bumps from skin.


  Regular check-ups at eye clinic should also be undergone by the people who have not had any problems with their eyesight so far. High occurence of civilization diseases increases the risk of sudden blindness in completely healthy people.
More than 500 000 people in Czech republic suffer from age-related macular degeneration, as many as 75% patients with diabetes suffer from diabetic retinopathy, however many of them do not know about it.

Recommended number of check ups: once a year.    Recommended number of check ups for people suffering form refractory disease, diabetes, high, low or fluctuating blood pressure and other internal diseases, for those with family history of glaucoma:  once a six months.
